The world behind the name.

The port of Krondor, coastal Crydee, elven Elvandar and the dwarven Gray Towers. Places with roots of their own, giving your travels through Midkemia a sense of place.

We draw our atmosphere chiefly from Magician: Apprentice and Magician: Master: the gradual discovery of a wider world, learning a craft and encountering different peoples. Custom professions, character progression and quests bring those surroundings into the game.

You do not need to have read the books. Readers will recognise familiar names; everyone else can discover them at their own pace.

Midkemia adds its own professions, experience and levels to Ultima Online’s skills. Mages, conjurers, necromancers, rangers, priests, warriors, artisans and thieves have different training options.

Choose your profession and four starting skills when creating your character. Trainers guide your further progress and specialisations, such as a swordmaster, beastmaster or battle mage. Your profession is permanent, so explore the options first.

In Magician: Apprentice and Magician: Master, familiar surroundings gradually open into a much wider world. Alongside magic and conflict, teachers, friendships and relations between peoples matter. That is the atmosphere we draw on.

The shard has its own versions of Krondor, Crydee, Elvandar and the Gray Towers. The novels inspire the setting; your character follows a path of their own. The Czech shard’s roots go back to 2004.

Crafting, training and completing quests belong to the world as much as combat and magic.

Artisans work with materials and make equipment, with specialisations in metalwork and woodcarving. Rangers have an affinity for animals as well as bows, mages for spells and warriors for weapons. Different skills give a shared expedition purpose.

Quests can involve conversations, finding and delivering items, or escorting characters. Some unfold over several stages and award experience or other rewards. It pays to listen to the people you meet.

These words greeted players on the original Czech server's website. For some, they bring back memories. For others, they are the opening line of a world yet to be discovered. Midkemia Classic carries its roots forward, with room for new stories.

What is Midkemia Classic?

An Ultima Online AoS shard inspired by the world of Raymond E. Feist, with roots dating back to 2004. It has custom professions, experience, specialisations and quests. You can play directly in your browser.

How do I join and create an account?

Choose Play in your browser. Once the game loads, enter an available username and your own password. Your first login creates the account automatically. An existing account requires its original password.

Can I join if I have never played Midkemia?

Yes. You do not need to know the original server or its history. Open the game, create an account by logging in for the first time, then create your character. Get to know the world and its players at your own pace.

Do I need to have read Feist’s books?

No. Magician: Apprentice and Magician: Master offer a feel for the setting and some familiar names, but they are neither a game manual nor required reading. You discover the world through your own character.

How do I choose a profession?

Choose your profession and four starting skills when creating your character. The choice is permanent and shapes your training and specialisations. Trainers guide your further progress in the game.

Will my original character return?

The arrangements for returning accounts and characters have not yet been confirmed. We will share the details once the possibilities and conditions are clear.

Can I play if I speak English?

Yes, English-speaking players are welcome. This website is available in Czech and English. You may encounter Czech text from the original Midkemia in the game; the English website does not mean that the entire game world has been translated.
